How bad credit business loans work
A credit file tells a story about the past. We're more interested in where your business is now: the equity you've built, or the money flowing through your account each month.
That's why two very different kinds of borrower get funded here: property owners with a bruised file, and trading businesses with a thin or damaged one.
Who it suits

- ATO debt and payment-plan history

A restaurant owner with two defaults from a failed venture
A Melbourne restaurateur had two defaults from a café that closed in 2022. His current restaurant was trading strongly. Using six months of bank statements, we funded $85,000 for a kitchen refit the next day. His credit file wasn't the deciding factor.
Frequently asked questions
What's the easiest business loan to get with bad credit?
If you own property, a property-secured loan such as a caveat or second mortgage is usually easiest, because the equity outweighs credit history. Without property, a cash-flow loan based on strong recent deposits is the next best route.
Will applying hurt my credit score further?
Not our 60-second eligibility check. It doesn't make a credit enquiry. A credit check only happens with your consent if you decide to go ahead.
Can I get a business loan with an ATO debt?
Yes, and many clients use the loan to clear it. From 1 July 2025, ATO interest charges (GIC) are no longer tax-deductible, which makes refinancing tax debt worth a serious look.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. There's no cost to apply or check your eligibility. All costs are set out in writing in your loan offer before you sign anything.
